How Flocalize handles your wordsA few good questions
Flocalize is in private preview for Mac and iPhone. Public downloads and paid plans are not open yet. See availability or request a preview through Flamingo Time.
On Mac, Flocalize inserts text into supported focused text fields, including a Messages draft. On iPhone, you dictate in Flocalize and open a native Messages draft, or copy and paste your text. You choose the recipient and press Send yourself.
The iPhone app defaults to Manual Stop, so you can pause and tap Stop when you are done. In Home or Settings → Listening → Stop after silence, you can instead choose 5, 15, or 30 seconds. Recordings have a five-minute limit in every mode.
The iPhone app includes Shortcuts actions to start dictation, copy the latest dictation, and return the latest text. Starting dictation opens Flocalize in the foreground. It does not replace Siri or type through a custom keyboard in other apps.
Yes. Choose a punctuation mode and use personal corrections and snippets. The Mac app also offers app-aware writing styles and an optional formatting pass. Availability of Apple Intelligence formatting depends on your device and system settings.
Local speech engines run on supported devices after the required models are downloaded. Initial setup and downloads, iCloud sync, and any network-dependent processing options need a connection. Check the selected engine before relying on offline use.
That depends on your voice and the way you work. Try your own names, punctuation, long drafts, and everyday apps before switching. We don’t claim a transcription accuracy ranking without a comparable test.
You have something to say.
